About

Our Story

Film School Dallas provides preparatory educational excellence in teaching students the art of digital filmmaking. Our alumni have been accepted into the top film schools across the country (UCLA, NYU, USC, Chapman, to name a few) and have successful careers in the entertainment industry.

Our Mission

At Film School Dallas, we strive to provide a comprehensive education that prepares our students for success in the entertainment industry. Our mission is to educate youth (ages 9-18) in the cinematic arts, empowering them to contribute to and effect change in a world where filmmaking has the potential to change lives.

Our Faculty

Our faculty members consist of award-winning industry television and film professionals who are passionate about teaching and committed to helping their students succeed in finding their role and voice in the entertainment industry.

Classes and Workshops

Fall Classes 2024

Filmmaking Techniques: Directing, Producing, Editing

Ages: 14-18

Date/Time: 10:00am - 4:00pm weekly on Saturdays starting 9/7, ending 12/14. No class on 11/30.

Description: Gain a comprehensive understanding into the art and craft of directing for film and television. Learn producing and basic audio/visual principles and apply them in a student-produced podcast. Understand the principles of editing from an aesthetic and technical perspective and apply skills in hands-on editing of scenes.

*Cost does not include a semester registration fee of $80 in order to make monthly tuition installments. All classes, workshops and camps are held at the Dallas location at 11496 Luna Rd Suite 700, Dallas, TX 75234
